Our love for GSPs started while I was in search for a family pet and hunting companion for Tony. He had a GSP while growing up, so while in my research, I continued to be drawn back to the GSP. In 1995, I purchased our first GSP from Hal and Judi Noon of Von Treffend Shorthairs, this boy became known as "Jeb" CH V Treffend's B-Day Surprise. When picking up Tony's birthday puppy, his Breeder, Judi Noon-Ware inquired about showing our puppy. At this point, I had never been to a dog show, but was willing to look into it.
When our Jeb grew up, we went to our first Dog Show and he placed Reserve, we were hooked. This started the search for our next show dog. This would be the beginning of our love for German Shorthaired Pointers and Dog Shows.
While going to the Shows, we met many Breeders and dogs that we loved. We found a Breeder that held the same passion and love for the breed that was becoming important to us. This was when we first met Dorothea & Bill Simberlund and Dorothea Hand of Fieldfine Kennels. Over time, they had become great friends and wonderful mentors. The two most important and difficult things for anyone starting out in the Dog Show World. We saw a beautiful boy at Fieldfine, "Surge" CH Fieldfine's Back For More JH. He would be the Sire of our next puppy, "Roxanne" CH Fieldfine's Back For Memories, which is the foundation of our breeding program.
We have been blessed with wonderful dogs and great friends along the way.
